自動車運転時における交差点右折時の視線運動解析

The purpose of this study was to analyze eye movements when driving through an intersection using an actual vehicle and to clarify the difference in eye movements between people with and without driving habits. We assigned four participants with driving habits as the driving group and the other four participants without driving habits as the no-driving group. We analyzed the gaze data of the right-turn section with the Tobii Pro Glasses 2. We compared the percentage of total gazing time per area and the percentage of total gazing time to the duration of making a right turn between the groups through a t-test. As a result, a significant group difference was observed in the right mirror in the total gazing time ratio by area, and the ratio was more significant in the driving group. Additionally, it was suggested that the driving group tended to have a higher percentage of total gazing to the further view of the progressing direction, while the no-driving group tended to have a higher percentage of total gazing to the nearer view of the progressing direction. The ratio of total gazing time to the duration to turn right tended to be higher in the driving group, suggesting that the driving group efficiently acquired information while driving. It is expected that these results will help to deter traffic accidents at intersections while driving by promoting awareness of traffic safety through appropriate warnings and traffic safety guidance.
